  An Interesting YouTube debate I had with a JW

  so most of you have probably seen my youtube video what you should know about jehovah's witnesses, which can be found here.

  naturally, this draws quite a negative response from the jw community, but this particular person decided to send me a personal message.. you wanna talk smack about witnesses or anyone in general you better have your facts straight.

  everything you said is taken almost enitrly out of context to our true practices.

  I saw it and thought it was interesting. Kind of hard to imagine a witness watching this show and not seeing some similarity with themselves. I especially liked the part where the reporter asked if they were sometimes called brainwashed. I bet you know what the answer was as it was the exact same stupid answer that many, many, many witnesses would come back with. Sometimes you just have to shake your head and leave it at that.

  What is the best question to ask a witness

  lets have a free for all .

  i would say why dont you have a book study anymore but that one is done to death... we had a witness recently and i asked for the latest jw only mag (he didn't realise i used to be in his cong... have i done that good a job at fading?

  ) it was a laugh to see the two of them struggle to come up with an answer.... ok lets here the best you can come up with, there has to be some better than mine, what question will leave them stuck for an answer...... .

  What do you need to make a YouTube video?

  i'd like to ask our experts what hardware and software they feel is best for making youtube video.

  is familiarilty with the binary language of moisture vaporators a requirement?

  about how much would it cost to get the additional hardware, assuming i had a relatively modern computer that is power enough to do the job.

  Rationales behind Elimination of the Book Study and Likely Effects Thereof

  i realize that the book study news has been discussed ad nauseam, but i would like to join the fun.

  lots of potential reasons have been bandied about on the board.

  for example, legal liability for crimes/torts that take place at the bookstudy homes may make the society nervous.

  No doubt the Society is concerned about apostates, but probably no more so than with materialism, porn, divorce, apathy, depression, etc.

  Materialism, porn, apathy and depression do not turn a direct spotlight on the many misdeeds and misinterpretations of the WT. So called apostates are actually getting quite adept at doing that now. These [other] things don't affect the control the WT has over it's minions. An inquiring mind is something to be feared if you are a cult leader. Just my tacking mind at work.

  I thought meeting in small groups was a protection when persecution comes

  so they're doing away with the book study?

  i thought that was the safe haven when the authorities finally banned the meetings at the kingdom hall and persecuted us (according to jw prophecy), meeting in small groups at people's homes.

  any thoughts?.

  Missing Link, that would have been hilarious!! You comment on how important it is and the whole congregation nods in approval then 15 minutes later that important meeting is history...and the whole congregation nods in approval. Fantastic.

  Is there any way to disable it?

  i haven't found a method that works more than 10% of the time.. most methods work for only a few minutes before they are themselves disabled by the unit's software.. i am at my wits end and need the advice of the board.. is there any way to disable the watchtower society's autopilot that have been installed on all jw model drones?.

  You have to dig deep into the code. Past the compiled language and into the ones and zeros. The machine language. That's where the autopilot screwups are most evident. Find out what makes the machine tick and then you must overwrite with the gibberish of your choice. Success is limited however as any newly installed gibberish is never error/virus free either. Best I can tell you. Honestly Honesty.

  What if they are about to "close the ark door"?

  we know the book study is about to be cut.

  i am reading talk here of the preaching work being declared "over" and possible changes in disfellowshipping policy.. we know the wbts is running low on funds.

  they don't make money from the literature and the new recruits are going straight back out of the revolving door.

  The ark door is now CLOSED! However, there may be a short delay as it has not yet been sealed. Locked. Bolted. Nailed or screwed. Covered with a plaster like substance somewhat akin to the biblical bitumen. And besides, the peephole may remain unobstructed for quite sometime so we can observe the agony of those that persecuted us and ratted us out for OUR misdeeds. .... But, once the peephole is closed, sealed and thoroughly obscured, THEN the end will come. Have a nice trib.
